Indigenous integrated energy leader, Heirs Energies, has unveiled its comprehensive digital transformation campaign, tagged “The Digital Next for Heirs Energies,” aimed at enhancing operational efficiency, asset monitoring, and energy supply security across Nigeria.
In a recent documentary by Heirs Energies, the company highlights aggressive technological drive to modernize upstream oil and gas operations and secure critical energy infrastructure.
Through the integration of continuous digital monitoring, data-driven automation, and cloud-based architecture, Heirs Energies seeks to establish a benchmark for brownfield innovation and sustainable energy delivery in the region.
Speaking on the strategic vision, Osayande “Osa” Igiehon, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Heirs Energies, emphasized the critical role of local innovation and technological adaptation in tackling structural challenges within the oil sector.
He noted that modern operations require precision and real-time oversight to maximize output while adhering to strict environmental, safety, and governance standards.
Joining the leadership presentation, Chief Financial Officer Samuel Nwanze and Vice President of Operations Michael Walter highlighted how digital interventions, such as the newly launched Integrated Operations Monitoring Centre (IOMC), empower local engineering talent to drive field optimizations.
Executive Director Chinwendu Ogbechie added that these initiatives reinforce the company’s broader commitment to energy security and economic empowerment.
As operator of OML 17, Heirs Energies currently contributes approximately 5 percent of Nigeria’s total crude oil production and 5 percent of domestic gas supply.
The executive leadership reaffirmed that combining natural gas utilization with advanced digital technology will accelerate Nigeria’s transition from energy deficiency to energy sufficiency, solidifying the firm’s position as a premier African energy champion.
