Glovo has invested more than N54bn in Nigeria since it began operations in the country in 2021, with the company describing Nigeria as its fastest-growing market globally in 2026.
The multi-category technology company disclosed this in a statement on Monday, saying its platform had facilitated the delivery of more than 40 million items to customers in Nigeria.
As reported by Newstellers, Glovo also said the economic value generated for businesses operating on its platform had more than doubled in the past year, reflecting what it described as the growing role of digital platforms in Nigeria’s commerce ecosystem.
The company said Nigeria remained its fastest-growing market among the 21 countries where it operates globally in 2026.
Speaking on the company’s outlook for Nigeria, Glovo’s Director for Africa, Dima Rasnovsky, said the company remained confident in the country’s long-term economic and digital potential.
“Our confidence in Nigeria remains strong. We have invested significantly in the market because we believe in its potential and the opportunities that technology can unlock for businesses and customers.
“As the market continues to evolve, our focus is on strengthening our ecosystem and ensuring that we continue to create meaningful value for everyone who relies on our platform,” Rasnovsky said.
The company said its long-term plans included improving its technology, supporting businesses on its platform and expanding e-commerce opportunities across the country.
Glovo also said it had conducted more than 50 in-person training sessions through its Glovo Academy for hundreds of small and medium-sized businesses, with participants recording performance improvements after the training.
Earlier in 2026, the company hosted its second annual Future of Commerce Summit, which brought together executives of major brands, including Chicken Republic, Burger King and The Place, as well as hundreds of local small and medium-sized restaurant businesses.
Rasnovsky added that Glovo was also committed to creating earning opportunities for thousands of couriers who use its platform to connect businesses with customers.
